The 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation was this year on July 1st! We are so lucky to live in this beautiful country, its stunning, I am still awestruck whenever we drive through the mountains, and the people we have met on our journeys around this country, it’s unreal.

Spent Canada’s 150th weekend taking in good visits with my family at my sisters place for some good food and bevvies under the stars in her and her boyfriends beautiful backyard.
Something about having a fire, watching the stars, telling a good story with a *cough* Canadian brewed *cough* beer in hand…hard to beat those summer nights.

Good Weekend Eats—>Fun restaurant near Whyte Ave, Dorinku, which had my husbands and my taste buds zinging to the flavours of octopus and wasabi. They were zing zingy zinging!! Great stop for fun Japanese eats.
